Mary Becker, Hostess & Speaker

Mary Becker is the co-director and researcher for Ghost Excavations, aka, Interpretive Performance Excavations (I.P.E). Mary creates the presentations for John Sabol's speaking engagements including the short film "Ghost Excavation at Burnside Bridge: Going Home After Seeing the Elephant." Mary's fascination with ghosts began with hauntings in homes she resided in including her current Victorian home. Her interest in ghosts eventually led her to a paranormal group that paved the way to a Facebook friendship with John Sabol. Mary has worked and researched closely with John ever since. Mary resided and worked in the Washington, DC, area for many years. She has performed in plays and musicals as well as studied acting and participated in acting workshops, took dancing lessons, modeled for a major department store, and participated in Miss Maryland/Miss USA pageant. This background has proven beneficial in doing scenarios for Ghost Excavations. She has been interviewed on national and internet radio programs and has appeared in a few TV pilots and documentaries for cable television about ghosts and history. John Sabol, Host & Speaker

John Sabol is an archaeologist, cultural anthropologist, cryptid researcher, and actor. As an archaeologist, he has documented and recorded the manifestations of past soundscapes at various ruins and sites of rubble and destruction in England, Mexico, Hungary, Czech Republic, Canada, and multiple sites in the U.S. He has written 36 books on his fieldwork and methodology called "Ghost Excavations." As an actor, he has appeared in more than 30 films and on TV, in such 80s blockbuster films as Dune, Rambo 2, Conan the Destroyer and the James Bond film, License to Kill. He is the director, and co-producer, along with Mary Becker, of several documentaries that are accounts of immersions into past ethnographic soundscapes at sites perceived to be haunted by past presence. He has developed numerous scripts and storyboards for these documentaries. He has presented these documentaries at various scientific conferences and popular culture expositions in Europe, Canada, Mexico, and the USA. He has spoken at such varied venues as the Space and Place Conference in Prague, Czech Republic, a conference on liminal landscapes at the Royal Geographic Society in London, Exploring the Extraordinary Conferences in York (UK) and Gettysburg College (USA), Conference on European History (University of Kent, Canterbury, UK), the ASSAP Seriously Strange Conference (University of Bath, UK), the GHost Conference (London, UK), the CHAT Archaeological Conference (York, UK), TAG (Theoretical Archaeology Group) Conferences at Berkeley (California), University of Illinois (Champagne-Urbana), University of Buffalo (New York), New York University, University of Colorado (Boulder), and will be chairing a session during the upcoming TAG conference at the University of Toronto, Toronto, Canada on Transductive Archaeologies at Haunted Locations. He also spoke at the Bigfoot Camping Adventure in May 2017 in Western Pennsylvania (USA). Margaret Byl, Speaker & Séance Facilitator

Margaret Byl was born in the Niagara Region of Ontario, Canada.  She has been interested in the Paranormal since childhood. She was raised in an old Victorian home where things would go bump in the night which sparked her interest in ghosts and other paranormal events.  Margaret has been an investigator since 1998.


In 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 & 2014, Margaret hosted G.H.O.S.T.S. a paranormal conference in Ontario and in 2012, she had the honour of participating in a Ghost Excavation at the incredible Knickerbocker Hotel.

Rosemary Ellen Guiley, Speaker

Rosemary Ellen Guiley is a researcher and investigator in the paranormal and metaphysical realms, and is the author of more than 65 books, including Talking to the Dead (with George Noory), Dream Messages from the Afterlife: Visits from the Dead, and The Art of Black Mirror Scrying. She is on the board of the Academy for Spiritual and Consciousness Studies, and is a founding member of the Afterlife Research and Education Institute. Alex Matsuo, Speaker

Alex Matsuo is an actor, dramaturg,playwright by day, and a paranormal researcher and author by night. She is the founder of the Association of Paranormal Study, which specializes in private home investigations and consultations. She is the author of "The Haunting of the Tenth Avenue Theater", published by Llewellyn Worldwide, the biggest paranormal and new age publisher in the world. Alex has also published "The Haunted Actor", as well as "More Than Ghosts" (a guide for investigators taking on private paranormal cases). Rick Fisher, Speaker

Rick Fisher has had a lifelong interest in the unexplained after seeing what he believes was a ghost at the age of seven. Since then Rick has searched for answers in the ghost, Bigfoot, and UFO phenomenas. He was the founder of the Pennsylvania Ghost Hunters Society which later became the Paranormal Society of PA and former member of the Pennsylvania Bigfoot Society. Rick has appeared on the Travel Channels Ghostly Gettysburg and Supernatural Destinations, local TV and radio. He has been written about in newspapers, magazines, and mentioned in many books about ghosts. Mike Stevenson, Speaker

Mike, or the Professor as he is also called, has a long history in the paranormal.  He had his first experience in 1958 being lifted 4 feet in the air and carried up a flight of stairs by an unseen entity.  Then again in 1963 a paranormal encounter of the third kind with very interesting results.  From then on he has been researching information on all aspects of the unknown.  Long before he became a paranormal investigator, he had many experiences of both the paranormal and supernatural in nature.  Since being fortunate to having accumulated over forty years of experience in electrical and broadcast engineering, he has been able to utilize this knowledge in scientific experimentation and inventions in the paranormal.

Mike is a member of several paranormal societies and is affiliated with several core groups in his area.  He is the Director of Research with The Paranormal Man Organization and the Audio Specialist for The Society of the Haunted Research Group.  He is a member of several different Meet-Up groups.  He is the Organizer and Chief Instructor for The Investigators League.  In addition, Mike has been the Historian for The Haunted Ramblewood House, better known as The Worthington House, since 2009.  He is an avid fan and follower of Dr. Dave Oester and a trained member of The International Ghost Hunting School {I.G.H.S.}.  In addition, he is a proud member of The International Paranormal Acknowledgment Awards Organization {I.P.A.A.}.  Mr. Stevenson keeps abreast of paranormal techniques and new innovations from across the United States.  Internationally he is a research member, in good standing, with THE GHOST CLUB, Suffolk, England.  This is the oldest and most respected research group in the world with memberships dating back to 1863.  He also operates the largest paranormal web site with over 100 web pages of on line information.

Mike has over 40 years experience as an electrical engineer twelve as a Broadcast Audio Engineer.

Robert "Brad" Bradley, Speaker

Brad began his working career as a chemist fresh out of college with the WV Air Pollution Control Commission while continuing to perform and teach as a musician. This brought valuable attributes to his work experience. He then moved on to Union Carbide and further expanded into musician representation as a union leader, finding his organizational and management skills were in need there. This led to many roles including stage manager/entertainment director for the Charleston Sternwheel Regatta. Dow Chemical Corporation saw fit to make him a laboratory information technology site expert which later led to his career as a distance learning coordinator, beginning at the Clay Center for the Arts and Sciences where he was also tapped for a house manager and artist liaison position due to his previous experience. Union Carbide and then Dow Chemical also trained him in facilitation, team building, Six Sigma and Apollo Root Cause Analysis, among many other subjects. Brandon Massullo, Speaker

Brandon Massullo is a clinical therapist and parapsychologist residing in Northeast Ohio. He has graduate degrees in clinical counseling from the University of Toledo and psychological research methods from the University of Edinburgh in Scotland, UK. His research at the University of Edinburgh centered on neurobiological correlates of ghostly encounters and he studied within the Koestler Parapsychology Unit at the University of Edinburgh under the supervision of author and international lecturer, Dr. Caroline Watt (Parapsychology: A Handbook for the 21st Century). Brandon has been fascinated by paranormal phenomena for 20 years and has been a participant and featured speaker in numerous paranormal forums and events, including the Parapsychological Association's 60th Anniversary Celebration.
